Simon & Garfunkel lanseaza al doilea lor album, “Sounds of Silence”

Simon & Garfunkel este un duo american format din Paul Simon si Art Garfunkel. Ei au pus bazele formatiei Tom & Jerry in 1957, avand primul succes cu melodia “Hey, Schoolgirl”. Cei doi devin faimosi sub numele de Simon & Garfunkel in anul 1965 cantand “The Sounds of Silence”.
Printre hiturile cunoscute ale anilor ’60 ale celor doi sunt “I Am a Rock”, “Homeward Bound”, “A Hazy Shade of Winter”, “Mrs. Robinson”, “Bridge over Troubled Water”, “The Boxer”, “Cecilia”, si “Scarborough Fair/Canticle”.
